International Bacon Day

International Bacon Day is a day to just stop and appreciate the universally adored food: bacon. You don't need to be a devout member of The United Church of Bacon to celebrate this holiday. Sometimes bacon is the unsung hero of your dish; maybe you add it to your breakfast burrito for an extra $1 as somewhat of an afterthought. Well, my friend, today is about appreciating your bacon for making that breakfast burrito go from a 6 to a 9. Thank you bacon, really, thank you.

This day appears to have originated somewhere in the UK during the 90's, although various groups take credit for pioneering the idea.
